The NETWORK-Aesthetic is a coalition of individual therapy networks, currently the NETWORK-Lipolysis and NETWORK-AestheticMeso. It concerns itself solely with minimally invasive aesthetic therapy and its delimitation from surgical procedures.
The NETWORK-Aesthetic and its over 800 members intend to draft standards for all known variants of this medical treatment.
NETWORK development is based on a vision developed by its members in 2006. This vision is detailed below.
➢ How would it be to have company-independent training as objective as possible based on a global consensus for all minimally invasive aesthetic treatment procedures?
➢ How would it be if medical students could choose this training in addition to their training syllabus and during it?
➢ How would it be if working groups of experts in individual treatment forms developed standardised treatment protocols offering patients greater certainty, better therapy and hence greater satisfaction?
➢ How would it be to have all the new developments in any year updated into the standards drafted?
➢ How would it be if all therapies could be used in combination to improve the face or body as the doctors would have training in more than one of such therapies?
➢ Finally, how would it be if we all ensured that some universities cooperate with us so that doctors trained in such therapies would be issued a university diploma as qualification serving patients as proof of quality for these treatments, i.e. if a doctor is expert in any such therapy he or she would have proof of it?
Our members come from over 50 countries. Together, they form a community that opposes the negative influences of globalisation (greater competition, loss of income, individualisation) and tries by seeking synergies to utilise globalisation positively and demonstrate that cooperation is more beneficial than "one-man-bands".
Further information on NETWORK thinking is to be found on the network site www.network-globalhealth.de.
Our members know their vision will take years to realise. They view the process of drafting these standards as a great medical adventure of a unique kind and are hence highly motivated to work on this exciting development.
